This concept is based on the inner child assisting the child in playing. The inner child character has wings because I know that when we allow our inner child to express itself, we are closer to the source. I decided to use jacks as a game in the piece because the game represents lessons in life. As a child, I didn’t think so hard; we wanted to win, but also got satisfaction out of just playing the game. We need to remember to have fun while playing to win.
